A building downtown in Morgantown, IndianaMorgantown, Indiana lies in the crook formed by State Roads 252 and 135, almost due south of Indianapolis. Only minutes away is the Morgan-Monroe State Forest, an enormous green space that draws visitors from all around.

In the 2000 census, Morgantown possessed just under 1,000 inhabitants. Small but mighty, it continues to thrive and prosper, along with so many small Midwestern towns that seem to have hit their stride. Tranquility and calm are the coins of the realm in this quaint village, and they are valued more than money.

Morgantown, Indiana has proven to be a fertile ground for small Indiana business, so that – unlike most of the satellite cities that surround Indy – the inhabitants don’t commute to work as much or as often.
